Wagner Dairy Breakfast

For a true dairy farm experience, check out the 15th dairy breakfast at Historic Wagner Farm in Glenview. In honor of June Dairy Month, the event provides fun and education for children of all ages with hayrides, dairy lawn games, interactions with livestock and live music, along with a traditional farm breakfast, of course.

This year’s celebration will feature the inaugural Wagner Stock Show where 4-H and FFA youth in Cook, Lake and McHenry counties display their hard work and compete for blue ribbons. Stock show categories include different weight classes for beef, dairy, swine and sheep, with awards for first and second place in each, as well as grand champion and top showman.

This year’s event takes place June 10 and starts at 8 a.m. The stock show kicks off with the swine competition at 9 a.m. Breakfast tickets cost $10 for adults and children 10 and older, and $5 for children ages 2 through 9.

One of the last working dairy farms in Cook County, Wagner Farm provides education and recreation to the public focused on agriculture. Families can visit to learn about the Chicago area’s agricultural heritage and experience hands-on farm activities.
