Williamsfield FFA Alumni & Friends now have the Power to Do More, thanks to farmer Marsha Strom of Dahinda. Strom’s photo showing barn-themed playground equipment being installed in her local town park won second place and $5,000 in the Corteva Agriscience Power to Do More contest.

After receiving thousands of online votes, Strom’s win will translate into tools, machines and educational materials for Williamsfield’s agriculture department.

Ten finalists received more than 60,000 online votes. A photo submitted by Scott Slepikas of South Dakota won the grand prize of $10,000, which will go to the Center for Independence that serves people with special needs. Chris Staudt of Iowa also earned second place with his photo, winning a $5,000 donation to the Kanawha Fire Department.

This marked the third year for the contest, which aims to help farming communities across the country. To see the winning contest entries, visit
