The Siegel family’s roots run deep in Will County – in more ways than one. Siegel’s Cottonwood Farm, owned and operated by Paul and Sue Siegel, dates back to 1909 when Paul’s grandparents moved to the farm to raise their family. Today, the fourth-generation centennial farm is a popular agritourism destination, especially in the fall.

At the farm’s annual Pumpkin Fest, which runs daily from around the first day of autumn through Halloween, visitors can celebrate the harvest season with more than 30 attractions. For more information about the event, visit ourpumpkinfarm.com or call (815) 741-2693.[/infobox]The fall event features classic agritourism fare like a U-pick pumpkin patch, a 15-acre corn maze, a haunted barn, hayrack rides, food vendors and play areas for children. But at this farm, you’ll find everything from a beehive to a gem mine, jumpin’ pillows to camel rides, and much more. The farm also hosts weddings and events throughout the year in their traditional, Amish-built timber-frame barn.
