Rags of Honor

After witnessing the injustice toward homeless veterans in Chicago, Mark Doyle decided to take action. He founded Rags of Honor, the only silk-screen apparel business fully run by homeless and unemployed veterans, in an effort to help them get back on their feet after serving the country.

Named the Illinois Veteran-Owned Business of the Year in 2015, Rags of Honor currently employs 12 full-time veterans, who produce 4,000 shirts per day. None of the veterans had past experience in silk-screening, but the business trains them and gives them a mission – as well as a home. Doyle has personally helped those who work for Rags of Honor find housing.

The company produces shirts for the Chicago Blackhawks and recently partnered with the National Football League. It also makes its own custom designs.
