Kankakee County Barn Quilt Tour
Kankakee, Illinois
Thirty barns in Kankakee County are adorned with hand-painted quilt blocks, representing the area’s rural heritage. Learn about the history behind these farms and quilt patterns during the annual Barn Quilt Guided Tour in October.
The Kankakee County CVB invites visitors to join them for a countywide tour, with a choice of three different routes. Each tour is approximately three hours long.
To learn more, check out the Kankakee CVB website or call them at (800) 747-4837.

I have out of town visitors and we were planning to take a tour of the KKK barn quilts. Why is there no route posted on this site? It should be here, available so people can enjoy the beautiful quilts at a time there are no scheduled tours. I find this most disappointing.
This area needs tourism, and most of the information of things to do and see in the KKK area not available on the web.
Hi Sandy,
Thanks for bringing this to our attention. We have updated the link to the Kankakee County CVB’s website so it should now take you to find more information. We ran this article in 2011 and had not realized they’d changed their web address. We are not connected with the Kankakee County Barn Quilt Tour, but we do list Illinois events on our website. For more information, please contact them directly at (800) 747-4837. Hope this helps!
