Celebrate the Nation’s Birthday at Frontier Days in Arlington Heights
Frontier Days
June 30 – July 4, 2017
Arlington Heights, Illinois
Honor the nation’s birthday with great food, carnival rides, sporting events and one of the largest Fourth of July parades in the suburbs.
Frontier Days, also known as “The Festival,” was started in 1975 to celebrate America’s bicentennial birthday. A Bicentennial Commission was appointed by the Village of Arlington Heights to host a villagewide celebration. The committee stayed together and the event became an annual July Fourth celebration, now in its 40th year.
The Festival also features free entertainment on three stages, many free family events, and a scholarship contest. One of the Festival’s highlights is the Citizens with Disabilities Day, when the park is closed to everyone except those people with special needs and their immediate families.
