5K Grow and Go race

No one knows more about cultivating young minds than those involved in Illinois Agriculture in the Classroom (IAITC). This promotes agricultural literacy – awareness, knowledge, and appreciation – among teachers and their students by providing a variety of resources and workshops for educators.

To help keep this important program thriving, lace up your running shoes and head to Bloomington for the 5th annual 5K Grow and Go. The family-friendly event raises funds for IAITC and helps spread awareness about the farmers who grow our food.

In 2014, more than 390 runners, walkers, kids, families and volunteers participated in the dash, enjoying a hot breakfast and kids activities after the race. That event raised approximately $15,000 for IAITC.

Don’t miss this year’s run, taking place Saturday, May 9, at the Illinois Farm Bureau, COUNTRY Financial and GROWMARK headquarters. For more information, visit iaafoundation.org.
